welcome

I would like to welcome one and all to my very own cooking blog! As a lady who has always enjoyed eating, cooking was something that was an obstacle to overcome. I hated it, it was a hassle. So was cleaning up after. I'd have rather just made easy mac... then thrown away the dish.

However, one of my biological clocks started ticking, not the baby one, the domestic one, and I fell in love with cooking.

I'm still not a huge fan of cleaning, in fact I try to avoid it at all costs... but it's one of those necessary evils, like speed limits, or ugly life guards.

I plan on posting weekly... and maybe more if I get un-lazy and load my pictures from my camera to my computer, but I'm not holding my breath. This is my cooking blog, so I'd love for you to offer suggestions for techniques or recipes. If you know something I don't, tell me. I'm learning for fun, and I like a little of everything; so I'll try to cook more than just sweet potatoes. I'm also looking to explore special dietary needs and low-cal versions of dishes that I like.

Come foodies! Lets make beautiful love together. Heating things up, one kitchen at a time!

  1. There's a biological clock called domestic and it's for cooking? Mine must've just started ticking then. XD

Tbh I've never really anything more than a microwave to cook food. I'm interested in learning how to cook things now though. So far I basically know how to cook one thing. I buy fresh veggies (broccoli, carrots, tomatoes [I know, technically they're fruits -_-], onions, and bell peppers. I heat up the stove and warm some extra virgin olive oil in a pan, turn the heat down and throw on the veggies and mix them around over and over for a while. Then throw in some chopped up pieces of chicken breast (already cooked) and then add black pepper and throw it in with some cooked brown rice or a whole grain piece of pita with a half slice of swiss cheese for a good meal. :)

Yes, that's basically all I can make right now, but hey it's delicious and good for you and I'm working on learning more, but I'm a slow learner. :P

Also, first person to comment on this blog. Woot !
